Description
🥥 Real coconut charcoal. For real barbecue enthusiasts.
Standard charcoal has a problem: It burns quickly, leaves behind a lot of ash, and needs to be replenished constantly. Many inexpensive coconut charcoals on the market are adulterated with bark, fillers, or low-quality raw materials from mass production in Indonesia.
PRESADI takes a different approach. Our BBQ briquettes are made exclusively from 100% pure coconut husks from Sri Lanka—no bark, no fillers, and no chemical additives. Direct from the manufacturer, with no middlemen, and full control over every batch.
🔥 Large restaurant-style pillows, more effective.
Our BBQ briquettes are pressed into a “Gastro Pillow” shape, which is larger than standard briquettes and many well-known brands on the market. The advantage: The solid briquettes never fit completely snugly together in the charcoal basket, so you automatically get optimal airflow in the grill, the embers stay even, and the fire doesn’t smother.
✨ What this means for your barbecue:
⏱️ 250 minutes of heat retention at over 180°C, independently measured
🪣 Only 4.7% ash, less than one-third of the permitted DIN plus maximum
🌡️ Even, consistent embers without temperature fluctuations
💨 Hardly any smoke, no odor of its own—your food tastes like grilled food
🔥 Perfect airflow thanks to the large-format cushion design
💪 Extremely shatter-resistant—no charcoal dust in the bag
🔬 Independently tested, not just promised.
Our coal is tested at the accredited FORCE Technology institute in Denmark in accordance with the European standard EN 1860-2, which forms the basis of our DIN plus certification (P1G071). For fixed carbon—the true measure of combustion quality—we measure 75.3%, well above the DIN plus minimum of 65%.
In addition, our coal is REACH-compliant, meaning it is free of hazardous chemicals exceeding legal limits. This is not a marketing claim, but a verified fact.

🌳 No trees die in the process.
Traditional charcoal means cutting down trees. Our charcoal is made exclusively from coconut husks, a byproduct of the coconut harvest. The coconut palm continues to grow, producing new coconuts and husks year-round. What would otherwise be discarded or burned is turned into high-quality barbecue charcoal at PRESADI.

🌴 Where does this difference come from?
Among experts, Sri Lanka is considered one of the world’s best sources of coconut charcoal. The tropical climate and the producers’ craftsmanship—honed over decades—ensure a consistently high quality of coconut shells. We source directly from a single, long-standing local partner—no mixed batches, no quality lottery.
